Not necessarily from PTSD in and of itself, but because you now have to fit in with people who you just dont have anything in common with. The military is like heaven. You have a purpose, the best friends on earth, all your needs are met, tons and tons of support.. then you go into the 'real world' and every one sucks. Nothing you do really matters, your friends are either still in the military or live no where near you, the health care sucks, and no one can understand your experience. You also still generally feel like you have to continue to put on a mask in order to not disgrace your brothers in arms past, present, and future.. so its hard to really open up and joke around with people like you did with your military friends.
