Substantially more than that, because it wouldn't just be Iran by itself. Russia, China, Pakistan (and others) aren't going to just sit by and do nothing like the whole world did in the case of Iraq/Afghanistan. I'm not saying they would overtly get involved, but they would support Iran with armamants similar to what we did with the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan in the 80s which ultimately forced the Soviets out.

This war is already unpopular as it is anyway, since it is clear that Israel was the aggressors. There would be massive protests domestically over this. Far worse than just the pro-Immigrant riots in LA, because only a minority of Leftists support that, but opposing this war would have broad mainstream support, not just from the Left but from the dissident Right as well.

I don't think this is a war we would even win. If we make the mistake of going into this it would probably be our Suez Crisis.

The only way mutts get involved is if there’s a ground invasion. That’s why Iran, hezbollah, and hamas have to ground attack first and penetrate into Israel. Once inside Israel air superiority is worthless. Israel won’t bomb its own people. Now it’s guerilla warfare against Israel and we know Israel can’t fight in the ground. That pulls USA boots on the ground. Now we get into quagmire. Iran closes strait of Hormuz. Oil skyrockets. Inflation. Fed has to raise rates. Economy collapses while inflation runs hot. This will feed into the meat grinder when mutts are desperate for work. National deficit spirals out of control. Easily 60 trillion with yields at 7%. Magats are looking at 3 trillion/ye just for interest alone. Cheeto man will forget about tariffs. China takes Taiwan without a fight as Taiwan collapses economically.
