Iran and China have fucked up so far. Iran due to their own incompetence and China due to lack of ambition. It doesn't look like they're keen on maintaining a friendly regime. Hadn't helped Iran meaningfully for all these years and were just low-balling them on oil purchases. End result, Iran didn't have an air force, adequate air defense and their missiles were either destroyed or stuck in some underground bases. They're not going to last until the end of July and the US has no reason to wait so long. They can finish the regime within the next 30 days and China doesn't have the assets to help.
