If you stay for longer at a base im pretty sure people do it but I really cant give an estimate.
They do, but its illigal and if and when does things come to light they usually get prosecuted, altough I dont remember the degree to which they get punished.
Regulations are strict, men and women sleep in seperate areas always. If not possible they make up some solutions for it ( btw its definatly a reason for the orthodox Jews to not serve since they dont think it's strict enough under all circumstences)
>>507683531I think normally for most part, Arabic Christians serve a lot in the police as their mandetory militiry service, it's a minority that people dont care much about. They are viewed normally I think by most altough if youre religious you'd probably wont think Christians are monotheists, since in Judaism the holy trinity kinda breaks the rule of bealiving in one God. Also maybe there's some resentment for the way the catholic church treated Jewish people and that's it

>>507683671Not different than any minority that had to "travel", I remember they were teaching us in highschool that Jewsih people being in exile did banking since both Christians and Muslims were forbidden to give loans with credit, so they got the hate for doing that dirty job, other than that Jews were living pretty isolated everywhere, so hate probably came from just being different.
I would assume the averege Jewish guy would think many different things, long history and different events are viewed differently and I would think some would just say it kept the people strong and unified or something like that, hard to answer shortly to you since theres a lot of history there.
