“Down low” is actually a serious epidemic in the black community. Though my own personal belief is it doesn’t really have much to do with them being gay, they’re just animals that will literally fuck anything. I think another aspect is that a lot of negroes pick up “gay sex” (again, this is more about dominating someone than explicitly being attracted to men) in the pen.
