Most Persians in America are either Christian or non-religious, which was one the main reason they're here. There was a exodus right before and after the Shah was overthrown in 1979.

Half of a friend’s family is Persian, their dad is against Iran’s regime but against Israel and US aggression against them. He thinks Iran’s government engages in affirmative action against Persians in the country for continued rule but knows Israel will bring something even worse with trying to destroy the nuclear programs

I don't have any family left in Iran, but I still feel bad for the people who are stuck there. A lot of them are like captives almost, just helping operate a dead/dying country while knowing full well how much better thing used to be not long ago. Sounds kinda relatable, actually. I still think Israel is a fuck for all the reasons most people could name, but it doesn't justify anything the islamic regime is doing internally or externally. Would love to see them gone but it can't keep happening the way it has historically, Iranians don't need a regime change so that BP and Halliburton can come (back) in and the girls can post thirst traps on Instagram like the rest of the diseased western world- they need to do it themselves and for their own futures.
