What is /pol/'s opinion of petrosentience theory? The idea that oil might have some sort of 'intention' or biological design, including gaining influence over humans, turning humanity into a petro-species, etc.? It's sort of like sentient mushroom theory, but for oil.

That book was really fun. But kind of crazy. It's so far out there that there's just not much to be done with it. How do I connect it to literally anything else in my world view?

The closest I can come to making sense of it is that it feeds into a general Accelerationist worldview.

Also, I do kind of buy the idea that burning fossil fuels is spiritually evil in some sense, as it's literally burning the dead, and as it seems to only fuel so much of the evil that we see in this world.
