as someone who just finished reading the comic a few nights ago.. i have to say, people aren't lying when they say the show is better than the source material. especially early on in the show, the first couple seasons, every departure the show takes is an improvement on the comic.

though i will say the utter disdain for society and the values of modern society comes out much better in the comic. also the 'transmetropolitan-esque' hatred that the people in power has for the common people..

however, the characterization of homelander specifically is vastly more interesting in the show.. they are hardly the same character really.
