Yea, there has been a noticeable decay of sophistication in these operations. There is some speculation that Bibi is basically losing control and doing a lot of these things to avoid his upcoming prison sentence which is virtually guaranteed to happen second he steps down. He is absurdly unpopular even within Israel.

There is a documentary they're trying to scrub that was released recently called the Bibi Files. While it doesn't get covered a lot and mainstream American News, things make at least a little bit more sense when you put it in context of how much trouble the he is in.

Also, home movies was extremely underrated.
