I have been a LOTR and Hobbit fan since I was a child in the early 1990's. My dad rented the Bakshi animated version if the Hobbit and LOTR for us. I read the books and I even had custom figurines bought from Fergus. This is way before the movies came out in 2001. Its safe to say I am a bit of LOTR nut....
