land cost in cities are ludicrously high and zoming regs would kill anything. Boomers would cry nimby and screech about muh property values. Plus huge distances and then having to rent a car at the other end to deal with other American car based infrastructure.

80% of our population should telework.
At least 13% of our population deported.
Only rural walkable small towns should exist.
Finally 300 mph train lines, but only 7.
4 NS for each time zone.
3 EW for the North, Middle, and South.
The trains should accommodate cars.

Is this passenger train networks only? Because if I look up 'what country has the biggest railway network' the US is the top result. Why do people think the point of trains is to move people around? They were literally invented to freight coal.

Trains fucking suck, especially in comparison to cars.
Cars give you privacy, the ability to go anywhere you want, choose your stops, and for longer trips are just as affordable.

Train stations are a fucking confusing mess, the one help desk (which is mandatory for finding out which train is yours) is always behind a huge line, or fucking closed. Half the time there's either no working toilet or no free toilet, there's no AC in the station and sometimes you have to wait hours just to get onboard your correct train.

America doesn't have trains because it doesn't need them. Cars do everything trains do and more, in a more timely and convenient matter.
Plus, where would you even go on a train in America? From New York to Baltimore? Cleveland, Ohio to Colombus, Ohio? At least in Europe trains can take you to another interesting and different place within a few hours normally.

The real reason is that we had more train tracks than anywhere in the whole world, than the train market crashed HARD, than the car and highway system was new technology so our elite overlords decided to invest 100% in car infrastructure while regulating the train and subway infrastructure to antiquated rubbish. Of course their ways were folly, but it wasn’t out of nowhere.

Six hours travel time is about the threshold people have here before they consider not driving to wherever it is they’re going (this MIGHT get you to the next state over but it’s not a guarantee), and if they don’t we have airplanes
>Plus, where would you even go on a train in America?
Anywhere worth going is either a 17 hour train ride away or remote enough that there’s no tracks so you’d have to drive to get there anyways. And no I’m not exaggerating. Your country is smaller than my state. Granted it’s one of the bigger ones but it’s still one of fifty

I'm riding the train from Germany to France multiple times per month. It's much more convenient, and I can work on the go. For me personally airports are a huge waste of time. I have to arrive way too early for check-in, stand in line at security, and then the airports are in the middle of nowhere and I have to drive forever into the city. For vacation I obviously take the car or plane.

I used to work for Amtrak/Nintendo.
We don't have the necessary population density (outside of the Northeast corridor from DC to Boston) to make train travel economical. Some startups are making localized high-speed rail in Texas and Florida, but we'll have to see if they survive or not.
TLDR we don't have the population density of Europe or China.
Also niggers.

Yes it's for work. What are you getting at? We have a client/project in France, and that requires the physical presence of some employees. In some industries, such projects take 10-30 years to complete. Accordingly, there are few clients and few specialists in the world. So it's normal that you have to travel. I don't see a problem with that.
