Meditations on First Philosophy is short but a bit of a slog. Descartes bones was an easy audio book that sums it up well.
Im a big picture guy but the book showed me how absolutely essential cynicism is to science, progression and most importantly epistemology. Not many, all. That's the whole piont of the book, and it set off the scientific revolution. You have to assume to survive, everyday you sit in a chair before confirming it will hold you. We are just so blind to it as it's impossible to function without the assumption the ground will hold you up. In certain situations though it's pivotal to put those asside and really go in as a blank state and know where you are making those assumptions.
