That is 4 Cold War-era US carriers. Their surface-to-air is probably the bigger issue because the bulk of their air force is Cold War-era US and Soviet airframes. None of them have upgrades.

It’s impossible to know what he really meant by that. In my mind, “control” implies physical presence but he might be referring to a crippling of their anti-air capabilities, their radar, missile targeting, it’s anyone’s guess honestly. Trump just says shit and there’s always like a grain of truth in it but you’d have to have him go on to really know exactly what he means.
