i got some great walmart shoes a few years ago for like $15 and they are flexible, with zero rise, amd are still holding up. added extra foam insoles for cushioning though as the original insoles flattened over the years. the treads themselves arent rubber but some kind of hard foam and i think its better than rubber as its more flexible and absorbs some shock. the top of the shoe is some kind of mesh. toe box could be wider but most people prefer not to have a wide toe box for fashion reasons. otherwise the perfect shoe.
