>>507812301 (OP)His coalition has been in dire straights for years at this point, every time it’s about to collapse, like clockwork, he starts some new wars to point at instead of his own problems. There are serious corruption allegations coming from the Israeli government against him (think about how bad it must be for them to even float the idea), and the rift between religious and secular is becoming untenable, with the issue of conscripting a religious sect within the country being so tenuous that both the secular and religious groups within his government are threatening to walk away if it doesn’t go their way. There have been large protests against him, even during the siege do Gaza, and he’s been days away from losing power for a while. In America he gets a lot of love and attention because of AIPAC and the lobbies he represents, but in Israel he isn’t nearly as popular. Now with ICC charges against him and political issues coming to a boil he’s in a situation not dissimilar to Assad during the outbreak of the Syrian civil war. The outright begging for America to become involved is a lot more about preserving the existing power structure than anything to do with protecting Israelis. He routinely puts his own citizens in danger to further his agenda, including very recently selling weapons to ISIS affiliated groups to cause more chaos in Gaza. He got caught and his answer was literally “so what”. In reality Bibi has been awful for Israel, turned them into demons on the world stage, and has made the country far more dangerous and unstable.
