What are the political implications of American mothers being substantially unable to keep a relationship with a man?
What are they doing so wrong here to end up like this? Can the current political climate sustain itself with a society wherein nearly half of the childbearing women fuck up like this?

terrible way of measuring this. I know MANY people that have been together 10+ years and have a child together but never get married. Why? because you get more benefits by NOT marrying. This is real. This is a thing. Society has fucked up so badly it is literally disadvantageous to get married.
