I was in the bottom of my class in high school and I wanted to kill myself every single day. I just graduated from college with a STEM degree and 3.5 GPA. I am a well adjusted adult, and looking back, in high school I was a total wreck, and i don't think it was my fault. Two boys in my class killed themselves the same year, months apart from each other. I was on track to be the third, and I suspect others in my class were in a similar position. High school as an institution is genuinely soul crushing. When will America replace it with something better and more modern?

yeah you spend more time in deflecting psychological torture by your classmates than actual learning. Uni is 100 times better.

The real world, especially if you're a wagie, is more like high school than college. College isn't really a popularity contest like high school is. College is easy, you just go to class and no one bothers you. But, the job market and office politics (what gets you promoted) is basically a big popularity contest.

High school is basically a cotton gin. If you killed yourself in high school it’s just the system taking care of itself. We’re a clean cotton society you get it?

HS was great. You know a school is good when even the stoners and burnouts show up every day. College was boring. Good luck with your 20s. Financial misery and all that. If you think HS had assholes, wait until you run into some guy or lady that is inexplicably trying to get you fired like it's their primary mission in life.

Highschool to me felt like a place middle aged women get to be children still while pretending to work. Total waste of time.

>high school was a trainwreck
Real life is essentially high school. Complete disaster where all anyone cares about is popularity contests, everyone is delusional, and meaningless bullshit is treated as more important than basic necessities. If you didn’t gather that high school is going to be the rest of your life, you failed.
>t. Was inexplicably popular in highschool.

accelerate primary education with home schooling, completely bypass high school with a ged, then clep out of basic college courses, then do community college for remainder freshman-sophomore credits, then transfer to a full college to do the classes that are actually pertinent for a proper degree, now you have a paper trail on the "cheap" six to eight years ahead of schedule.
