For English speakers, yes, because Russian grammar is a lot more complex than English. That said, Russian is still Indo-European like English so there are similarities there. The Cyrillic alphabet is the easiest thing about learning Russian, btw.

Reminder that Kaja is the daughter of a high-ranking Soviet bureaucrat and Russian lessons were a vital part of school curriculum when she was growing up.
