Again, this isn't one of those things so the comparison isn't accurate. Every war is a contentious issue.
Most of the people against this war are pro Russia or pro China or largely just hate the US and want it to collapse, that makes them not credible.

For example, if someone hates the US but says 'the US shouldn't bomb Iran because the consequences will be terrible for the US!' then you know that person is lying, not arguing in good faith, because they hate the US so terrible things happening to the US would be ideal to them.

I don't think many people want a repeat of a large scale ground invasion.
What's being discussed with Iran sounds more like bombing the Iranian government and hoping the regime collapses, which is more like what the US, (and Russia and Turkey for their own different reasons) were doing in Syria up until a few months ago.

My prediction is that's what the US will do and then the US will fund some group (maybe MEK) to try to get them to become the new Iranian government.

If someone's against that then it's fair enough but so far I haven't seen Trump suggest he wants boots on the ground, he knows that would be very unpopular.
