Trump bent over backwards to let Iran make a deal with him and they exploited him for it. They viewed his generosity as weakness and dragged out the negotiations on purpose while they were enriching more and more in the background (proven as per the UN nuclear watchdog).

Four years ago, Trump was criticizing Biden for not telling Russia if they don't get in line they'll feel the pain, and saying if he were president they'd have listened because he means it and the war in Ukraine would've never been (peace through strength). Yet now a war started precisely because he couldn't do exactly that.

Ironic.
