All this proves is there's two polls, one by the senate Republicans and one by yougov about different questions.
Trump's poll is people 'approving of his foreign policy', not 'do you want the US to get involved with Iran'. A lot of people might interpret that as meaning boots on the ground, which is a lot less popular than air strikes. Since the US has already been involved in giving intel and Trump gave cover to the Israelis.
