Derangement might be a misapplied word. It's more "delusions". They believe that their feelings exist in the real world, when no-one agrees with them. They don't talk to anyone that might wake them up from their comforting dream of moral superiority. They're actually terrible people full of hate and spite, emotionally unstable, hevily medicated and ready to scream and attack because they were trained to believe they have that right everywhere on earth.
Then they go overseas and get their fool heads blown off by impatient and irritated people.

Agreement isn't the same thing as being correct. I don't think all Trump haters are super smart, but scientists with the knowledge and resources to find out things about quantum mechanics people may not know or agree with, that doesn't make them incorrect.

There was killed, wounded, and targeted politicians in his country and he publicly stated he doesnt intend to call about it and took the time to insult the leadership there. People reacting negatively to things like that makes sense.
