Because we live in a time of unprecedented wealth and prosperity and if you can’t even make ends meet it’s due to some kind of social maladaption unironically.
Literally 3rd world peasants come here in droves to pick strawberries in the heat and somehow earn enough to feed, house themselves, and send $ back to family.
And that’s just simple work that our ancestors were happy to do for the last 10,000 years. There are so many better options now than have ever existed in history.
Homelessness now is due to being a fucking spaz on drugs, burning every bridge, tarnishing every relationship, etc. it’s not the system that makes people homeless. Worst case some people get into a shelter or have to live in a seedy motel for a week or two until they can find a better situation. People on the streets choose to live on the streets. That’s a simple fact.

If you ever had to live around homeless and poor people you'd know they are disgusting and unsympathetic. Society endlessly gives to the poor and they squander what they have.
If you are middle class then you are fucked. But if you're homeless in a big city they'll give you a free apartment, free food, free healthcare, a fast track into a decent job. The other day I saw a social media by some obese roastie, a degenerate homeless drug addict and they give her a cushy job in an office doing social media bullshit and her own apartment.
