i come from a place that i'm just gonna call "niggershitville, south carolina" because that's basically what it was. now in niggershitville i was surrounded by conservatives and niggers. these people were boring, ugly, dumb, and had nothing going on in their lives. that's the people i knew for my whole life. the place was a depressing shithole despite having a sizeable population.

i've been living in LA for a month and what a fucking change. so many people are hot, nice, high iq, rich, and actually have interesting lives and stories to tell. they're actually PLEASANT to be around. i always had this image in my head of Californians being ugly dyed-hair low iq liberal freaks, but these people are genuinely aristocrats compared to the garbage pile that is the rest of America.

don't get me wrong, there's still plenty of your average plebs, corny libs, immigrants, etc. but it really isn't that bad at least compared to where i'm from. i'm actually seeing way less niggers here than i did in the "conservative" southern state i lived in. the political-focused liberal types here aren’t any more annoying than the ones that lived in niggershitville

homeless people and crime? yeah there's hobos but crime honestly isn't bad at all in comparison to other random American cities

oh yeah and the city itself is way better than anything i've seen in this country before, better than New York for sure. beaches, mountains, theme parks, palm trees, perfect weather, endless options for entertainment and food. i actually have a decent bit of money so i don't need to complain about "muh high cost of living."

liberal places are just better, even the people are. cost of living is high because these are desirable places to live. i know there's some cool people you meet in conservative areas, gun shooting animal killing types, but they're basically the only kind of interesting people in these shitholes, it's not worth it

Same here OP. I dated a Californian and despite her living modestly, just the ambient experience of California is fucking amazing.

I'm too dialed in to the cultural zietgeist, I'm always aware of changing trends and what's happening. But where I live is full of people who want to stay unplugged and unaware, so I stick out. In California, it feels like 5 years into the future. Everything happens there first.

Honestly, more than anything else, this is what made me want out of LA. Feeling like some outcast expat while living in the city I was born in, in the country my family has been in for generations, made life fucking miserable there. Doesn't help that most of the other white people in LA had very little in common with me either - I don't do drugs, not even weed, so that's half of them out and the rest are spoiled silver spoon transplants who've never done a day of real work or faced any real difficulty in their lives, and the few exceptions that I grew up with got the fuck out long ago.
