The Red-Fan Parrot and Black-Headed Parrot are from sister genera so should have fertile offspring.

Are these hybrids viable? Can they reproduce? Usually hybrids cannot.
Anonymous (ID: yve9nz6K) United Kingdom No.507915903 [Report] >>507916739

Not this particular one, but my hybrid probably will since Deroptyus and Pionites are sister genera. With more distant hybrids one parentage usually dominates the other. Hopefully the Flame-Crested Parrot (Deroptyus accipitrinus × Pionites melanocephalus) will have a more even phenotype.

You just need a fiery Deroptyus × Pionites mutt to break the peace and possibly the riot act. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mziW4at1dZE

The general rule is the more distant genetically, the lesser prospect for fertility and viability. Though I suspect the Flame-Crested Parrot idea might be more vigorous and possibly fertile than either parent as born from fairly close relatives.

Yeah I do love nature, it's the only good thing in this shithole. I do like ravens tho I feel like they are conscious and can understand humans but can't communicate

Ravens just aren't visually appealing enough to tame really. Shame but that is truly an instance where taboo (This time a Germanic Pagan one associated with foresight) is still active.
