I think they sense systemic changes and a return to faith in God, and they don't like it at all. They see a real threat to the status quo. They like things the way they are, they like their power structures, and they don't care how people are affected by them. We live in a morally corrupt society. That sucks and is understandable. I'm kind of dealing with something similar. I'm getting older now in a different stage of life, and I can't responsibly have relationships (was plenty irresponsible and had fun when I was younger). My life is still fulfilling and everything, but beautiful women everywhere in the summer makes it hard to not think about what once was. Not that I want to be irresponsible anymore. I can't because I know the suffering it brings me and others. I don't regret the irresponsibility and fun though.
