Jewish media support.

Trump's job for his Jewish owners is to co-opt Ron Paul's very popular agenda, and murder it.

Ron Paul would be leading in all GOP polls and straw polls until the RINO-ZIO faction could steal back control.

Trump himself said the GOP was even worse that DNC when he was killing RINOs in 2016 and DNC was screwing Bernie.

The media completely railroaded him. Fox News only reported on other candidates, even though he was still in the race. I am old enough to remember one news station even did a segment where the reporter said
>”And on the other side of this bus is candidate Ron Paul”
As in they wouldn’t even show him on TV. They went to the other side of a campaign bus and broadcast from there.

The Ron Paul movement was a rejection of the wars, bailouts, and loss of civil liberties in the 2000's, along with a call to return to Constitutional values. The nation wasn't ready for it then, and especially after Obama, the world isn't ready for it now.

Unfortunately for them they had no answer to the question of demographic change or immigration so they fell off in the 2010s. also trump winning woke up the far left from its coma. and the alt right made being fashy cool for a time.

The debates are comprimised of questions that require hour long answers but only have time for 1 minute voice clips. While Ron Paul had detailed, logical answers, none of that mattered because everyone's attention span could only last for a 30 second clip on whatever news program they happened to watch.

Ron Paul wasn't the first one of his kind, there are people like Ross Perot who also had answers that he could explain to the American public, but they shut him out of the debates. He then used his wealth to buy his own air-time, not too dissimilar to Trump using Twitter and Facebook in 2016, to circumvent the political machine.

The best thing about Donald Trump was that he was a media guy and understood how people consumed the news. Long complicated answers to long complicated questions would never get you anywhere with the American public. You need to have quick snippets that entertained the masses.

There will be "Oldfags" that try to insult you for being a zoomer, but trust me when I tell you that nothing has changed. Tiktok hasn't done anything new, people have always had shitty attention spans, they just stopped shoving Ritalin down your throat these days.

Libertarians were often mocked as weird cultists obsessed with gold/silver. This is because the fraud of the Federal Reserve Note wasn't quite as obvious as it is today, you could still get a McDoubles for a buck and rent a 2 bedroom apartment for $450 a month. He had the best policies for the people but was against the fed which is obviously a no no because so many ((people)) are in power because of the fed and fractional reserve banking. I'll never forget the news showing the front runners for who got most donations they showed the top five but started with number two. RP was number one, of course but that's the shit they were pulling back then and today and for always

>what was he missing to be as successful as trump and MAGA

Boomer loyalty to the Status quo, media black out, slander, "Kooky". Trump took all of Ron Paul's popular topics and made them his such as State's rights, reduce spending, slash size of Government, Alternative currencies.
Basically Trump is popular because he tried to copy Ron Paul's message, although he's not living up to it.

The problem with Ron Paul was his fanbase was 99.9% internet derived in an era where the internet didn't drive the overall culture anywhere close to it does now. Was Ron Paul super popular in internet spaces? Absolutely...internet spaces where normies had never heard of, let alone browsed. More importantly though, people don't really like libertarianism all that much. Ask Democrats if they support broad legalization and no wars, sign them up. Ask them if they love deregulation and as little taxation as possible, and that's a no-go. The opposite is true for Republicans.

The dissident right wing wasn't strong enough and established enough to capitalize on his wins at the time.
Some will point to that the political environment wasn't suited for him winning, but it was how their establishment wronged him that we noticed.
Pattern recognition.
Trump broke through by destroying the safety barriers that the GOP establishment set up in his campaign.
Through the adversity over 10 years, we became stronger and wilder with each era and adapted our politics accordingly.
Memories from that foundational time erode, but it was what led us to our current political development.
We will be free.
