But we also know the rest of the bible, about the Jews being regathered to Israel, the entire world turning against them, and then against Christians all over the world, and Jesus coming back to the rescue. it's the Jews who have to come to faith in Him and call on His name acknowledging their sin (crucifying Him) and who He is. That's what calls Him back.

The bible says they will be brought back in unbelief, the entire world will come against them (Zechariah 12), but God will defend them, and Jesus will come back in their distress (Psalm 118, Zechariah 9:14-16).
Romans 11 explains something to it as well, that God has partially blinded the Jews until the fulness of the Gentiles are come in. Then God will heal their blindness, they'll see Jesus for who He is, and call for Him, and be saved, and Jesus will come back.
The Church didn't replace Israel. The Church was grafted into Israel. They still have to find Jesus, and God promises that a remnant will.
