>>507949676 (OP)We should really just end the charade and institute a migrant labor policy like Qatar or Saudi Arabia have.
We should have an actual program where you can bring in (and have to house and feed) migrants for the truly unprofitable to the American worker type work. There is absolutely no reason we can't have a border policy and then be able to bring in seasonal laborers to harvest for 2-3 bucks an hour (which is quite a bit in many of their home countries) while letting them not have to deal with cost of living issues.
We could do this with quite a few industries that NEED chink tier labor too. Most of the nigger tier assembly jobs that just need sheer cheap manpower so we could NEVER compete with foreign countries could just be done here, but with migrants coming in on a short term basis and living near the factories in designated housing and zones. Toy production, materials processing, textiles, recycling, electronics assembly, general packing and more could all come back right to the us. We produce quite a few of the parts (usually high value, think CNC or other precise or specific components) we send to be assembled in the first place, so it's just American factories producing and transporting to "American" assembly.
You can easily make "factory towns" (with fences) where you bring in migrants to even run the basic services (to keep costs low) while Americans actually handle infrastructure (power, water, bus, etc) and management of the whole thing. All filled with an endless churn people for work that used to be sent out to the 3rd world instead. Saving a ton on transport costs.
It's even humanitarian. These would be fantastic wages for their countries (think Nigeria or India) all while potentially having programs to let these people upskill too. It's perfect for countries with high young unemployment. They could go home with savings and education. And keep profiles to invite the good ones back for more "tours".
