this is true actually, modern times is really the first time in history where there are as many if not more men than women in the world.

There’s only a limited amount of valid women in their prime (18-25) and every man wants them (young and old) because we value beauty and youth (sign of fertility) and nowadays it’s harder to acquire resources for men especially younger men. Average women are also outearning average men. Thus women are OK dating higher, the same few select elite guys even if they share them rather than going for their match.

That's not actually the problem. According to your theory, these prime women (18-25) would be getting married, even if to older, more resourceful guys. But most of them will date until they're 30 because they THINK that they can do even better. That's the actual problem. Women were never meant to handle so much freedom, historically they've never had it. It blew up on their face and many end up depressed and alone.
