It's important to teach kids to be realistic and objective from a young age imo, only the most detached and delusional person falls down such a rabbit hole. This one even mentions it in her post, "envision myself". They identify so deeply with this romantic vision of "being" that they are inevitably crushed to pieces by the brutal truth of nature.
