It took my body and hair roughly three months to "regenerate" itself and adapt but now i don't use any kind of soap or deodorant anymore, yet i don't stink.
I don't know the reason behind it but i used to shower every day, sometimes twice, otherwise i would smell sweaty as fuck.
If i didn't wash my hair daily, it would look extremely greasy.
I talked to some hippy woman i know, she did the same thing, says she only showers with water, doesn't use deo or parfum, yet she never smelled bad (i meet her regularely).
The first month was really bad. I just kept washing myself with water often but it felt like the smell would never go away. Changed clothes several times a day which helped. 2nd month was not much better but you noticed things were improving.
Third month, especially after week 10 i noticed massive improvements, it was like from one week to another, my body changed entirely.

I asked several people, including my mum who was always overly hygenic, wether i smelled bad, and no one said i did.
I only wash with water now, hair doesn't look greasy either, scalp doesn't itch from dryness anymore, nor any dandruff.
Can go longer without a shower now as well before i smell bad. On day 3 it's noticable. Before i could shower in the morning and would smell bad in the evening.

Disclaimer though, if you sweat and don't change your clothes, you will stink on day 2. Always wearing clean clothes is paramount.
