Only the US, Russia (less so now) and China have the strategic bombers capable of dropping the heavy ordinance penetrators that could destroy Fordow.
How is an affluent continent of 500 million so useless militarily?
Especially given all the bluster from Europeans on leddit and SlopTube about Europe rearming & going it alone without the US?

Europe is peaceful and has defensive armies.
America is the only country building B-21 Doolittle bombers to threaten civilians in their homes.
Doolittle was the general who led the fire bombing of Tokyo, killing 3 million Japanese children. And America names their new bomber after him.....hmm....

This is probably classified but if you look at the wikipedia of the gbu 57, it mentions that it contains "The warhead assembly contains 4,590 pounds (2,082 kg) of AFX-757 and 752 pounds (341 kg) of PBXN-114"

the smaller fraction of PBXN is probably used to drive a shaped charge in a similar manner as the stormshadow/scalp in bunker buster mode.

i asked chatgpt about copper shaped charge penetration on a theoretical 341kg PBXN shaped charge and it lines up roughly.

this bomb doesnt simply rely on freefall kinetic energy for penetration, it blasts a hole and then the warhead goes through that hole

This seems correct. Going through 25 meters of steel would be a significant effort.

m8 europe has almost no functioning military. What you see on paper is only about 1% deployable. Germany had at one point only 2 working Eurofighters. The UK had no aircraft carriers until recently, and no planes for the aircraft carriers for a while too.

No european nation could even fight a war. We spent all our money on social programmes and boatniggers.

Likely this. I don't think even U.S. and Israel intelligence sources have a clear exact map of the subsurface formations and concrete armor fortifications of the underground complex there.

I also now think this is one of the reasons Trump has been weighing whether to actually deploy the United States' B-2 and GBU-57
he wouldn't do it unless there was absolute assured success

Yeah just dropping it at free fall speed, would make it DOINK off 75ft thick steel.
Its gotta be a shape charge to blast a hole, which is likely what all the explosive is in the front nose. Kinda crazy that it could potentially blast itself thru 1000ft of dirt.

At best that bunker buster works to 200ft depth.
Fordrow is 500ft and is strongly fortified.

Col. Daniel Davis discusses this in depth with MIT prof Ted Postow.

That's not all that exists under the ground surface, particularly in Iran's mountains.
The U.S. and Israel don't really or exactly know what the underground complex lies beneath. (This is probably why Trump just decided "two more weeks")

MOPs are impressive weapons but much of their ground/armor/concrete penetration ability *estimate* is based upon materials that are generally homogeneous, that is the section of material the bomb is traveling through/penetrating is largely of a single type or composition: whether that be concrete, a certain type of rock, soil, metallic armor plate

Yeah I watched this. Professor Postow was helpful in discussing the 'composite' concrete topic, but in the end as he says the U.S. and Israel simply don't know the materials/fortification or precise subsurface configuration of the Fordow complex to a satisfactory degree (in order to reliably deploy a MOP against it)

All these countries economies are a house of cards because they donโ€™t pay for their defense they just let the US do it. Why Euro faggots where seething about Trump telling them

>shaped charge
That has no relevance whatsoever.
Main concern and tactical intelligence required for the proposed Fordow attack is subsurface configuration and concrete/geologic stratification of the complex. Hundreds of feet which could ? consist of various materials and layers of fortification, armor. They need to know this *exactly* and precisely, or else the weapon fails.

>'basic research'
See above. It's all solely dependent upon how much U.S. / Israel intel knows about the subsurface fortification profile. If they get that even 5% wrong, the MOP won't work (and the complex may be too deep anyway for use of a GBU-57)

Literally only the US has something like that, mostly because the MOP has been developed solely to annihilate Iranian underground structures. Russia and China don't have them because they don't need them, and the same goes for NATO.

>solely to annihilate Iranian
Back in the Iraq foreverwars Cheney-GWB era there was discussion of the (B61 based) 'nuclear bunker buster' as a tool to take out Iran's deep underground nuclear processing and weapon complexes. But even that weapon only has a penetration depth of around 30 meters when it then detonates its nuclear warhead, which sure has a devastating subsurface effect on the underground complex but also releases-explodes a gigantic nuclear cloud into the atmosphere just like a B61

Given the reputed depth of this Fordow complex, and the scope and types of operating installations and machinery for nuclear fuel enrichment the U.S./Israel claim needs to be "neutralized" I don't think one or two GBU-57s are going to be enough (if ? they can even be successful at all)
