>and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.Genesis 26:4 - God speaking to Abraham again:
>and I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;Galatians 3:8 - Paul, writing to the gentiles.
>And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.1 Corinthians 15:27-28 - Paul, speaking about Jesus Christ being given all by God
> For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.Luke 2:32 - Simeon in the spirit speaking about Jesus
>a light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.Let's put 2+2 together; God, having called Abraham, told him that all nations will be blessed in his seed. We can go even further back to God cursing the serpent and talking about the seed of Eve striking the serpent on the head - a prophecy of what was to come. But if God had chosen to bless all the nations through the seed of Abraham, what exactly does this blessing entail? Jesus Christ, obviously. Jesus Christ is the blessing, being from the seed of Abraham. Look again at the gospel of John when Jesus is arguing with the jews - why does he call them the children of satan? Are they not the seed of Abraham? Moreover, was Edom not the seed of Abraham? What about Ishmael?
The blessing is JESUS CHRIST, and the blessing is for ALL PEOPLE, not just a country in the middle east.
