Jesus Christ is the blessing, being from the seed of Abraham. Look again at the gospel of John when Jesus is arguing with the jews - why does he call them the children of satan? Are they not the seed of Abraham? Moreover, was Edom not the seed of Abraham? What about Ishmael?
The blessing is JESUS CHRIST, and the blessing is for ALL PEOPLE, not just a country in the middle east.
