CBS News reports US President Trump now sees the need to disable Fordow Nuclear Site as a necessary step

“He believes there’s not much choice,” one source said. “Finishing the job means destroying Fordo.”


US President Trump has been briefed on both the risks and the benefits of bombing Fordo, Iran's most secure nuclear site, and his mindset is that disabling it is necessary because of the risk of weapons being produced in a relatively short period of time, multiple sources told CBS News.

The president approved attack plans on Iran on Tuesday night, but has not made a final decision on whether to strike the country and formally join Israel's air campaign, a senior intelligence source and a Defense Department official told CBS News on Wednesday.

Mr. Trump held off on deciding to strike in case Tehran agrees to abandon its nuclear program, the sources said.

Trump is under the wrong impression that he can just bomb Fordo, Iran will just take it, call it a day and then it will be over. Fucking kek, America will be dragged into something that will change it forever.

Trump has no say in it. TECHNICALLY he does, just like he technically may not sign bills into law, but in REALITY it’s not up to him. If the DoD’s influencers on balance want the strike, it’ll happen regardless of what Trump wants. Even if Iran agreed today to end their nuclear program and proceed with negotiations to accomplish that, the power system will still force Trump to sign the order to attack. If the power structure only cares about ending the nukes then the negotiations may proceed — but if the nukes is just marketing and they really want regime change then the bombs will fall.

The worst part is that I don’t think the gravity bombs can fully destroy it, they’re so heavy you can only fit two on a stealth bomber.
