June 19th isn't even the end of slavery in the US. It's the day Texas freed their slaves but the Emancipation Proclamation didn't apply to Union states so Delaware and Kentucky still had slaves until December.

People who had never once celebrated Juneteenth screamed fake outrage over Trump scheduling a rally for June 19th, that's why it suddenly became a national thing even though only Texas cared about it before then.

Also the Left unironically thinks that the entire city of Tulsa is just a giant memorial or something and that nobody should ever do anything there because it's racist.

Juneteenth sounding like something a moron would say because it's ambiguous which of the dates between June 13th and June 19th it refers to is *chef's kiss* for a performative holiday about black people

June 19th is the day people rally around because it's seen as the day that ma4ks the start of the federal government enforcing the end of slavery. That alone makes the date more authentic than, for example, believing Jesus was born in late December.

Texas made it a state holiday like 50 years ago. It was an actual thing in Texas because it's important for their history, but it never had national significance. Then in 2020 Trump scheduled a rally for June 19th and you had a bunch of shit like the OP pic-related

except it doesn't. Leftists lie and say Texas was the last state to have slaves because if true that would help justify making such a big deal about this. But Texas was actually just the last Confederate state with slaves. Kentucky and Delaware still had slaves until December of that year when the 13th Amendment was ratified.

In 2021 Biden made it a national holiday. So government employees and anybody else who gets government holidays off would get it off. Demcorats pretend that Juneteenth was always a big deal and that it was overdue for becoming a national holiday. But go look at old tweets by Democrats pre-2020 for June 19th, few of them ever talked about it.

And the day is a lie, they say it's the end of slavery but it was the end of slavery in Texas (which is why Texas was the only state to celebrate it before 2020).
Nope, lincoln's proclamation applied states and territory ID: JtOlGXxkFrance

>It's the day Texas freed their slaves but the Emancipation Proclamation didn't apply to Union states so Delaware and Kentucky still had slaves until December.

First thing : texas didn't freed their slaves; as the texans were fighting to keep slavery by suceeding the union, like all the other confederates states.

Secondly, both lincoln's ending slavery as well as the 13th amendment, applied to ALL the united states, so no union states keep their slaves as soon as Lincoln freed them, while the south freedom when the union troops breakthrough the confederates lines.

You are spreading an white supremacy lie about slaves not being slaves; this is of course untrue and have been debunked many time, like the fictional Irish slaves shipped to the US.

Lincoln's executive proclamation that end slavery applied states and territory, there were no exception, and nobody said they were except for rambling revisionism like you.

First a Leaf tries (and fails) to tell me the history and now a Frog does?
No, the Emancipation Proclamation only applied to the Confederacy. Delaware and Kentucky never left the Union so they were allowed to keep their slaves until the 13th Amendment was ratified in December 1865. Literally one of the reasons for the Emancipation Proclamation was to discourage Kentucky from joining the Confederacy by telling them that if they stay they could keep their slaves for now but if they seceded they would lose their slaves as soon as the Union took KY.

also FYI the Native Amerians had slaves for another year or so
