Redpill me on Buddhism. Specifically why the greatest mind of philosophy Schopenhauer embraced it.

The resources or the property of them?

A rich person once said to the poor people "You (not me) will be happier with LESS money. You will own nothing and be happy."

Based. Especially for self-reflection purposes.

However, you will not find the answers you seek here. The answers can only be found within yourself, and after years of meditation. Preferably, under a tree.

The greatest mind in philosophy was Kant, Hegel, Wittgenstein, and Nietzsche, in that order. I supposed Heideigger is somewhere close behind, but Leibowitz is in front of him.

My great-great-grandfather, who was White, also embraced it. He was a depressed, angry man who committed suicide.

Do material possessions bring you happiness? Perhaps if you reflect you will see that they don't and that the quest for more and more serves merely as a distraction, much like a hamster running in a wheel. Perhaps you will realize that happiness itself is an illusion.

>Hegel
Couldn't even do physics. He's the word salad state apologist philosopher, which is why he is still loved today by the regime. Much like back in Schopenhaur's day.

>Nietzsche
Would hate to be remembered as a philosopher. He hated philosophers.

>Wittgenstein
Ultimately ended back on good ol Schop: there are some things that cannot be expressed in words.

>Heideigger
Don't think I've been able to understand him, and I don't think I will ever unless I learn German. There are too many "Germanisms" in his philosophy and I don't feel like I'm fulling grasping some it. It feels like a slog.

The Buddha taught a path that leads to liberation from suffering. This includes confusion, delusion, and afflicted states.

He taught this openly and unconditionally to all sentient beings.
