It means all our toppled satellite countries in the middle east now have a new potential patron who can take them and suddenly the west can no longer control middle eastern oil production and mineral extraction, ie no more dollar hegemony. It would mean there could be a third bases of sovereign power in the world, in addition to NATO and China, and that could have a domino effect granting Africa and potentially even south America their own sovereign basis of existence. Basically, bye bye new world order. I read in a book written in the 70s about how nuclear power meant a new world global governance was inevitable, but Iran getting nukes could throw that prediction into the trash, and might even potentially start a nuclear war. Developed countries have far more to lose in a nuclear war than undeveloped countries too, so they might be more willing to use them in a first strike than we are.
That is why they want Iran to unconditionally surrender. If they can take over Iran, then there will be no more middle eastern opposition, and the only countries left to contain would be Russia and China.
