The decapitation part is likely true. The US has absolute dominance over ISR, but other than that... it depends on their contingencies. If they can have shadow leaders in place without any formal announcements and if they can maintain their whereabouts and identity hidden, operating through some kind of proxy, the country could continue operating and defending itself. A ground assault isn't feasible on Iran. The country is too large, the terrain is too inhospitable, and the population doesn't want an (((intervention)))). But I do agree on the "war" part. Similar story with Russia. Although their ISR doesn't match the US, they still could've blown Zelensky up alongside the other people in command, a long time ago. It's really questionable why they don't do this. Seems like only Israel and the US are playing for keeps, targeting what matters. The others all have thumbs up their asses for whatever reason.

But if you want the government replaced you have to assist a new one in securing power against those opposed for some time.

This could reduce the muslim vs muslim issues the rest of the world depends on to keep the middle east divided and conquered.
