Remember when Trump blew up the shed in Syria, some Israeli planes flew right at the US ships and locked on. He's not taking any chances and while China and the US are rivals, nobody will benefit from US involvement in a war in the Middle East at this stage.

Israel probably sold China much of the capabilities which will be used to prevent another Jewish war in the Middle East, which is quite ironic.
