They encourage your body to use protein and fat as fuel. So it burns it off.
If you feed your body carbs, it burns them first. Which means fat gets stored instead of burned.
Eating carbs and fat together is what makes you fat.

It might be $8 per sausage. Usually you wouldn't be getting 3 sausages unless it was a la carte. If that was for sale at most bars it would be like $20+.

Gas stations and fast food restaurants dont usually sell stuff like bratwurst or kielbasa, but if they did it would probably be way cheaper. Possibly <$8.

For example, pic related is the menu at the local German bar I sometimes go to. Their kielbasa is $19. I do live in Seattle though, which is a very high cost of living area.
