Where is this quote about blessing Israel? I think it might be a misinterpretation of Genesis 12:3 where God tells Abraham to leave Mesopotamia and establish a new nation of people in Canaan. Then in Numbers 24:9 something similar said. In both cases when you translate literally it never mentions Israel. It's clearly speaking about God's blessing towards Abraham and the nation of people that will come from him.

Maybe I'm wrong but I'm not seeing anything about Israel because it did not even exist before Moses who was born 150 years later.
