Our ICBM defense is so good, 99% of it is classified. Think floating cubes that can hover at 60,000 feet and laser through 20 warheads a second.

Government installations have the exact same defenses as the Iron Dome, but slightly more advanced.

Other than that, no. We're fucked.

The only countries capable of getting a missile here aren't in any rush to send them here.

As someone who has worked in the DoD in a multitude of COCOMs and has worked in the standoff munitions industry...we have a very large and capable anti-missle, anti-aircraft, and anti-seacraft arsenal. It has been tested recently and has a 98% success rate.

However, our best defense is the fucking ocean on both sides of us.

Cities don't get any defense unless they happen to be adjoint to a very important military installation. Since most bases homeside are only worried about sabotage, that's about all they're sort of ready for, the Army more than the other services. Since you know we don't have combat armor or gas masks, you know we're expecting to sacrifice a lot of blood if we ever get really attacked stateside. Each service is a little different, but for example the Air Force posture is to ride out an attack and then counterattack, or to activate and expect to not have a home to go to.
