This is the least obscured cancellation campaign I've seen in quite some time. Literally not a single one of their points is unique to X/Twitter. It applies to literally every single social media platform to ever have existed.

I will say that they are right that we aren't really capable of listening to that many people at once and it usually devolves into chaos at that scale. The best corners of the internet are small in scale. Like Reddit sucks ass, but if you stick to small communities around niche interests, you'll have a good time. Discord is cancer, but if you do the same you'll have a good time there too. Still, there is a place for widescale, anonymous, and small scale communication. All serve different purposes and do different things better/worse than the other.

As with many of his opinions he's half right but probably for the wrong reasons. It's true that we certainly weren't built to experience the entire world having a megaphone. It drives many people mad and they ruin their lives. The internet is an extremely destructive tool to those kinds of people.
That being said it's another pandoras box, there's no way we're ever going back unless technology dies somehow. So the only way forward is through and building better people who can stand up to online banter and have better thought processing so they can sift through all the detritus.
