For now Iran still has plenty of capability to strike Israel, which is a tiny country, while Iran is pretty massive. Also mountains. Even if Israel "won" this conflict it would only be a matter of time until this backfires.
The main problem with Iran is mainly that they didn't create nukes 20 years ago, when objectively they should have done so.

The obvious response would be to build nuclear weapons and dare them to try that shit again.
But unfortunately they a cucky. Maybe it's Putin's influence? They are way too conservative in their approach, and way too worried about the USA attacking them, which naturally would destroy Iran, but it would also effectively wipe out the US military like a couple of Vietnams.
Although they may rightly assume that especially some decades ago the USA could and would have acted with impunity. Even if the covered the entirety of Iran with anthrax nobody of any relevance would have complained much, similar to the initial Gaza situation.

But by now this attitude has eroded and everybody wants the USA to fucking die.

~50 air refueling tankers + another 2 dozen from the UK.
Dozens of F-35, F-22, F-16, F-15 fighter/bombers.
USS The Sullivans, Arleigh Burke and Thomas Hudner in the Med.
USS Forrest Sherman in the Red Sea.
USS Princeton, Carl Vinson, Milius, Sterett and Wayne E. Meyer in the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Oman.
Israel has complete and total air superiority, bombing strategic targets daily and at will.
Iran has no remaining AA to threaten Israeli fighter/bombers.
Latest reports indicate 50-60% of Iranian missile launchers destroyed.
Iranian Command & Control structure worse than decimated.
Reports of Iranians unable to withdraw cash from banks.
Iranian population of ~92 Million and 80-90% hate the current ruling regime.
I'd say that Israel has already won, now it's just a question of how involved will the US be in the mop up effort beyond providing monetary/weapon/intelligence support.
Also note how easy it was for IDF/Mossad to plan the attacks within Iran because of a populace willing to help them against the regime.

Mainly because it's such a large plane. You can build a missile that is man-portable and can reach that altitude, but pretty much any manpads warhead will be too weak to do more than disable one engine or so.
Best you could hope for is depressurizing the thing, but in any case: making it fuck off already is a win too, even if it doesn't get damaged.
