I believe the north of the country has more intellectual potential. But the fact remains that the British and Dutch landed their ships in the south, and build their cities in the south. So strangely enough, the dark skin ones in the south actually are doing way better economically and academically, while the north of the country is kind of a beleaguered shithole.

India is a place of ethnic chaos, there are hundred of groups, castes, and subreligions. The notion that there is one "Indian" group is incorrect. The only reason it's even one unified country is because of Britain

I'm actually pretty fair. It is loosely based on your caste and the location of where you live. Northern India is more fairer than someone who lives in southern India.

You can tell quite a lot about distributions by looking at their extremes (thank you steve sailor). There have been some very clever indians: Ramanujan, an few physicists, chess champions. From my cursory examination, most seem to be bramins and dark (maybe tamil).
