No. It's shit. When has been in war? Libya with no air defense? The only time it's been in actual war it's had more losses. Scam artists. Not that the F35 is doing well either. But it's better.

F35 has a history of recalls since launch and a number of performance issues and losses. Technically you'd assume the Mirage was better until India goes and loses a number. Its wartime debut. Where the F35 is actively on that field outside of patrols. Performing despite its numerous faults. The issue or topic is subjective of costs and repairs.

you make it sound as if it were a 1v1 when it was a battle of 250 fighters.
you don't know for a fact that it was a Rafale that went down, could have been any other of the 5 possible fighters they have, you don't know how it went down...if it were one out of formation fighter vs 10 or whatever, you don't know anything
you just look retarded

phase it out and you will just get weaker and your enemies will buy it and destroy you instead. are you willing to send your soldiers into battle in cheap Russian and Chinese crap vs American designed and manufactured weapons of war? easy death sentence for them.

The Gripen is a great aircraft, and in a vacuum it is better on paper for 99% of European nations(with its upgraded engine). However, the upgraded engine is the problem here because its American made and this entire push is about removing the American supply chain from European defense.

Gripen is overrated. Rafale mogs Gripen in actual air combat exercises. Swedenโ€™s supply chains arenโ€™t as sophisticated as Franceโ€™s even if weโ€™re in the EU. Gripen is however great for limited regional air defense, Iโ€™d still like to see it in Ukraine.
