Germany does it right and better than America. They have well built homes within villages rather than stick and sheet rock homes within neighborhoods. What I mean by that is their version of a neighborhood is a no shit village complete with grocery stores, churches, schools, banks, barber, bakers, etc. all within a 1 square mile walkable distance AND an actual elected town council governing it all.
