If you want to convert it generally takes 2-3 years
It's not rare that priests refuse to baptise a newborn if the parents aren't married or doesn't attend the mass regularly, it oftens spark outrage, parents being obliged to visit 3-4 churches to get newborn baptised
There is even cases where the priest refuse to baptise Muslims wanting to convert (which I find crazy and stupid if you ask me)
