>>508095144 (OP)>alreadyserved, past my IRR window, and 2 years too old to be recalled anywayAs long as I have a comfortable life and the USA hasn't gone 9000% batshit, I ain't shooting any recrooooters in the face even if they deserve it. The system is too strong, and I would never get away with it. I do advise young'uns to not enlist, or if they do, do one term for the money, training, and the experience, while going to sick call for every possible thing so they can file for disability when they get out. VA disability can set you up with money for the rest of your life. Depending on what % rate you get, it can be enough to live on by itself. Lower %s will not be enough to live on, but will make life much easier than it would otherwise be. Having a VA disability rating doesn't preclude you from work by default. You can get a 100% rate and still have other incomes, as long as you don't have that specific "unable to work" tag attached. Going in as an officer is even better than enlisting, if you have the tolerance for white collar office work and the petty passive-aggressive behavior that is common in white collar work generally.
